Volume 9 of the Sargent Catalogue Raisonne project is due to be published at the end of this month, November 2016. This marks the end of an ambitious nearly twenty year project, thanks to the tireless efforts of Richard Ormond and Elaine Kilmurray, to document the vast body of work Sargent produced in his 69 years.
Volume 9 will chronicle the works produced between 1914 and 1925, taking him from the planning of his Boston Public Library Murals, to Florida and the Rockefellers, all the way to his work for the BWMC as an official war artist and beyond.
A comprehensive index of all the catalogues is also due to be published in February 2017.
